%X El objetivo de este art¨ªculo consiste en profundizar en la ¨¦tica de Emmanuel L¨¦vinas y aproximarla al Trabajo Social. Para ello, hemos dividido el art¨ªculo en tres secciones. En la primera parte expondremos brevemente algunas pinceladas sobre las caracter¨ªsticas de la obra de L¨¦vinas y las nociones principales de la misma, a partir de las cuales plantearemos su propuesta ¨¦tica. En la segunda parte nos referiremos a los or¨ªgenes del Trabajo Social y a las Organizaciones Sociales de Caridad y los Asentamientos en su surgimiento como disciplina te¨®rica. Finalmente, plantearemos la aproximaci¨®n de la ¨¦tica de L¨¦vinas al Trabajo Social y la influencia de esta ¨¦tica en algunas perspectivas contempor¨¢neas. Todo ello, utilizando una metodolog¨ªa hist¨®rico-sistem¨¢tica consistente en analizar toda la obra de L¨¦vinas, as¨ª como algunas de las obras m¨¢s importantes de la ¨¦tica de la intervenci¨®n social. The goal of this article is to expose further insight into Emmanuel L¨¦vinas' ethics, and link their approach to Social Work. With this purpose in mind, we have divided the article into four sections. In the first section, we will briefly put forward some details regarding the characteristics of his work, the main notions of his work, the basis of which will serve to expose his ethical proposal. In the second part, we will explain the origins of Social Work and the Social Service Organizations and the Settlements in its rise to become a theoretical discipline in its own right. Finally, we will establish the approach of L¨¦vinas' ethics concerning Social Work, and the influence of these ethics upon some contemporary perspectives. All will be done using a historical-systematic methodology, aiming to analyze the entirety of E. L¨¦vinas' work, as well as some of the most significant works of ethics in the field of social intervention.
