%X Este texto describe y analiza la gesti車n que realizan los directivos docentes para la implementaci車n del Programa Nacional de Biling邦ismo (PNB) en instituciones educativas privadas de tradici車n monoling邦e de estratos 1 a 4 de la ciudad de Santiago de Cali. Para ello, se procedi車 mediante una investigaci車n descriptiva que, a trav谷s de la estad赤stica y de la correlaci車n, incorpor車 la interpretaci車n cuantitativa y cualitativa de la informaci車n contenida en encuestas, en los proyectos educativos institucionales y lo que dicta la pol赤tica educativa ling邦赤stica. En la investigaci車n se encontraron avances de implementaci車n de la pol赤tica en algunos colegios que han reestructurado las din芍micas institucionales y el curr赤culo con miras a la consecuci車n de mejores niveles de lengua de sus estudiantes; sin embargo, en la mayor赤a de los colegios prevalece un desconocimiento de asuntos clave en la gesti車n escolar, para desarrollar mejores procesos de aprendizaje de la lengua. Se concluye que para la implementaci車n del PNB hace falta liderar acciones de la comunidad educativa que reconozcan el nuevo papel de la lengua en la educaci車n y gestionar oportunidades de aprendizaje para que los estudiantes alcancen los niveles de competencia esperados. Igualmente, es necesario un apoyo m芍s decidido de los entes gubernamentales para este sector. This text aims to describe and analyze the management performed by school administrators for the implementation of the Bilingual Colombia Program (BCP) in private educational institutions of monolingual tradition located in strata 1 to 4 in Cali (Colombia). For this, we carried out a descriptive research which, through statistics and correlation, incorporated quantitative and qualitative interpretation of the information contained in surveys, the institutional educational projects and what the language education policy dictates. The research results showed advances in the implementation of the policy in some schools that have restructured their school dynamics and curriculum towards the attainment of better levels of language competence of their students; however, in most schools unawareness of key issues of school management to develop better language learning processes prevails. It can be concluded that there is a need to lead actions in the school community that acknowledge the new role of foreign language in education and to manage learning opportunities so that students can achieve the expected levels of language competence. Besides, stronger support from government agencies to this sector is needed.
