%X In hemisphere domes the development of the spirals of the herringbone creates a ¡°loxodromic¡± curve. The curve of the herringbone comes closer and closer to the poles of the sphere. A structure with an octagonal base, presents greater difficulties in the application of this technique; its structure does not have the same continuity as the round dome; as observed previously, each "vela" is a portion of an elliptical cylinder, and not a sphere. Nelle cupole emisferiche lo sviluppo delle spirali della spinapesce crea una curva "lossodromica". La curva della spina pesce si avvicina sempre di pi¨´ ai poli della sfera. Una struttura a base ottagonale presenta maggiori difficolt¨¤ nell¡¯applicazione di questa tecnica; la sua struttura non ha la stessa continuit¨¤ delle cupole circolari; infatti ciascuna vela ¨¨ una porzione di un cilindro ellittico e non di una sfera.
