The evolution during Late Triassic/Early Jurassic was controlled by convergence along the border of the Meliata Ocean and by contemporaneous divergence along the Middle Atlantic/Penninic rift. During Mid-Cretaceous, the convergence between Africa and Paleoeurope started, which finally resulted in collision of Alpine-West Carpathian microcontinent with the Paleoeuropean margin and in the formation of the Alpine Orogen. %K Mesozoic %K Mediterranean Tethys %K lithofacies %K paleogeography %K Western Carpathians %U http://js.mshdiau.ac.ir/ijes/index.php?option=com_tfjornal&task=downloadarchive&Itemid=0&id=d569dc485cf59beddd8f46970e9cfb5a736208ffb8f3536aeb5d733f9541ce88e6&doc=pdf
