%X This paper addresses the system engineering of safety-critical real-time systems making a comparison between event-triggered and timed triggered architectures. Main advantages and disadvantages of both approaches are investigated in the context of utilization for real-time control systems development. Finally, an example of implementation based on the time-triggered architecture is presented.
