%X The problem presented in this paper referred to the role of the vegetable resourcesin the lapses of indigenous-hispanic contact in the north of the county of Mendoza. Itinvestigates about the informative potential of the archeobotanics remains and inparticular the carpologic ones, recovered in excavations of the foundational area ofMendoza city to elaborate hypothesis referred to the cultural change among the nativepopulations in the conquest process and colonization taken place during the XVI century
