All these elements are considered as support for thePyMEs¡¯ economic, productive and social management (Cardona, Cano, Ram¨ªrez, & Guti¨¦rrez,2006). Thus, they help to determine the Colombian PyMEs¡¯ relative competitiveness in theglobalized environment. This article pursues the establishment of cultural variables thataffect the production in the international business context through the analytic-syntheticmethod, in order to unravel the possible impact in terms of competitiveness as an industrialpolicy element. Hasta el momento, el an¨¢lisis acerca de los mundos de producci¨®n de las pyme ha girado en torno a sus componentes, organizaci¨®n, pol¨ªticas y tecnolog¨ªa, considerados soportes de la gesti¨®n econ¨®mica, productiva y social de dichas empresas. Por ende, vistas as¨ª las pyme, se facilita la determinaci¨®n de su relativa competitividad en el entorno globalizado. El prop¨®sito de este art¨ªculo es establecer cu¨¢les variables culturales afectan los mundos de producci¨®n en el contexto de los negocios internacionales de las compa ¨ªas colombianas. El estudio se realiz¨® a partir del m¨¦todo anal¨ªtico¨Csint¨¦tico con el objetivo de desentra ar el posible impacto en t¨¦rminos de competitividad desde el elemento pol¨ªtica industrial.
