%0 Journal Article %T Nutritional aspects that may influence arterial hypertension during pregnandy Aspectos nutricionales que pueden influir en la hipertensi車n arterial durante la gestaci車n %A Bernardo Agudelo Jaramillo %J Iatreia %D 1999 %I Universidad de Antioquia %X Since hypertensive disorders are the most important medical problem associated with pregnancy and the main factor of high maternal morbidity and perinatal morbidity and mortality, it is a priority to look for preventive alternatives that could be directed toward the acetilsalic赤lico; prostaglandinas impravement af health indicatars in the mother and the fetus. Systemic adaptations during pregnancy lead to deep physiological modifications of the hemodynamic and vascular systems, that guarantee appropriate tissue perfusion with decrease of peripheral vascular resistance and, therefore, a fall of systemic pressures toward the middle of pregnancy. Risk factors and some particular conditions of maternal health could reduce the adaptative capacity of pregnant women and therefore favor the appearance of this illness. From the nutritional perspective, the factors that can be modulated depend on social and culo tural conditions (inadequate diets, obesity, metabolic dysfunctions and nutritional deficiencies), natural factors that can influence the autoregulation of the microcirculation (formation of reactive species of oxygen and production of enzymes for regulating the oxidative stress), capacity of local regulation in res pon se to situations of tisular stress (prostaglandin formation and assimilation of acids fatty precursors). On the whole, all these factors are susceptible of preventive modulation by means of nutritional careo Dado que los trastornos hipertensivos son la enfermedad m谷dica m芍s com迆n durante la gestaci車n y que representan un alto 赤ndice de morbilidad materna y r1)orbimortalidad perinatal, es prioritario buscar opciones preventivas dirigidas al mejoramiento de los indicadores de salud del binomio madre hijo. Las adaptaciones sist谷micas de la gestaci車n conllevan desde el primer trimestre profundos reordenamientos de tipo hemodin芍mico y vascular que garantizan la adecuada perfusi車n de los tejidos con disminuci車n de la resistencia vascular perif谷rica y, por lo tanto, con una ca赤da de las cifras tensionales hacia la mitad de la gestaci車n. La existencia de factores de riesgo y de algunos condicionantes de la salud materna reduce la capacidad adaptativa de la gestante y por lo tanto favorece la aparici車n de la enfermedad.
