The objective of this study was to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) ofantifungal agents clotrimazole and terbinafine on 19 isolates of Candida albicans isolated from HIV positive patients and HIV-negative with oral erythematous candidiasis to detect possible resistance. Using agar antifungal dilutionthecnic and sample at demarcated regions on Petri dish. It was verified that MIC to terbinafine varied from 32 to 128¦Ìg/mL while to clotrimazole, MIC varied from 16 to 128 ¦Ìg/mL. This study allowed concluding that almost samplesshowed elevated MIC values among HIV positive or negative patients. %K oral candidiasis. terbinafine. clotrimazole.
