Certes, son chant persiste, en fran ais, allemand et su¨¦dois, mais sa puissance faiblit : certains auteurs perdent la trace d¡¯Orph¨¦e, choisissent de suivre celle d¡¯Eurydice ou bien simplement d¨¦cident de poursuivre un autre chemin. Mythe des pouvoirs du verbe po¨¦tique, Orph¨¦e symbolise une conception de l¡¯¨¦criture en pleine ¨¦volution, car si le chant n¡¯op¨¨re plus, que reste-t-il ? In European poetry of the twentieth century, we can always find traces of the myth of Orpheus. His song still persists here, in French, German and Swedish, but it is not as forceful as it was before: many poets have lost his track, choose to follow Eurydice¡¯s, or simply decide to follow another path. A myth of the power of words and of the poet, Orpheus symbolises a new conception of writing, because, if his song doesn¡¯t work anymore, what is left? %U http://trans.revues.org/467
