%X La trace peut tout autant jouer un r le de   connecteur   qu¡¯un r le de rupture. C¡¯est ¨¤ cette double dimension que nous nous int¨¦resserons pour ¨¦tudier trois r¨¦cits ayant pour point commun l¡¯utilisation du paradigme de l¡¯enqu¨ºte. Les traces qu¡¯il faut suivre et interpr¨¦ter sont toujours en relation avec un pass¨¦ obscur ou oubli¨¦. L¡¯enqu¨ºte men¨¦e par le narrateur permet alors de mettre au jour ce pass¨¦ oubli¨¦, impensable et de le faire exister de nouveau dans le r¨¦cit, la trace ¨¦tant ce qui permet d¡¯acc¨¦der ¨¤ ce pass¨¦ tout en ouvrant une rupture indispensable ¨¤ son d¨¦voilement spectral. The trace can play a connecting role as much as a disconnecting one. We will deal with this double dimension in studying three narratives, the common point of which is the use of the paradigm of investigation. The traces one must follow and interpret are always related to some obscure and forgotten past. In each case, the investigation carried out by the narrator is a means of bringing to light this forgotten, unthinkable past, and of making it exist anew in the narrative, the trace being the very means of gaining access to this past, while creating an rupture indispensable to its spectral unveiling.
