%X Cet article propose un dialogue entre deux textes pseudo-biographiques, ¨¦crits dans la tradition des r¨¦cits encyclop¨¦diques borg¨¦siens. Mario Bellatin et Alberto Manguel cr¨¦ent deux personnages qui ont une relation tr¨¨s proche avec la photographie et l¡¯¨¦criture. Leurs histoires mettent en ¨¦vidence l¡¯existence d¡¯une narrativit¨¦ inh¨¦rente aux images photographiques. A travers les lectures, oppos¨¦es mais compl¨¦mentaires, que les personnages font de la narrativit¨¦ de l¡¯image, Bellatin et Manguel formalisent deux mani¨¨res de comprendre l¡¯image et les relations que l¡¯individu peut entretenir avec elle dans sa compr¨¦hension du monde. This article offers a dialogue between two pseudo-biographical texts, written in the tradition of the Borgesian encyclopaedic tale. Mario Bellatin and Alberto Manguel create two characters that have a a keen interest in photography and writing. Their stories underscore the existence of a narrativity inherent in photographic images. Through the conflicting but complementary reading that the two characters offer of the narrativity of images, Bellatin and Manguel formalize two ways of understanding the nature of images and the connections one establishes with the latter to make sense of the world. Este art¨ªculo pone a dialogar dos textos pseudo-biogr¨¢ficos, escritos en la tradici¨®n de los relatos enciclop¨¦dicos borgesianos. Mario Bellatin y Alberto Manguel crean dos personajes fuertemente relacionados con la fotograf¨ªa y la escritura, cuyas historias hacen patente la existencia de una narratividad inherente a las im¨¢genes fotogr¨¢ficas. A trav¨¦s de las lecturas opuestas pero complementarias que los personajes hacen de la narratividad de la imagen, estos autores formalizan dos maneras de entender la imagen y las relaciones que el individuo puede entretejer con ella en su comprensi¨®n del mundo.
