The article highlights that in terms of the conceptof nation, the Ruling undermines its interpretative value in the preamble, but does not make reference to any specifi c device, which in addition tochanging the jurisprudence of the Court, also makes its consequences lessprecise. The Ruling, on the other hand and contradictorily, accepts the adjective¡°nationals¡± as it refers to symbols, because it understands that in this case ¡°nationals¡± comes from ¡°nationality¡±. Finally, it indicates that the ambiguityin article 5 of the Statute leads to the Ruling seeming to declare theAdditional First Provision of the Constitution inapplicable to Catalonia, butit does not clarify the reasons for that inapplicability. %K nation %K sovereignty %K national symbols %K historical rights %U http://www10.gencat.cat/drep/binaris/_reaf12_Ferret_tcm112-146926.pdf
