%X O presente artigo apresenta um e studo sobre a escrita liter芍ria do autor contemporaneo Val那ncio Xavier, a partir da an芍lise est谷tica de O mez da grippe e outros livros (1998). Com isso, pretende -se, al谷m de contribuir para a fortuna cr赤tica sobre o escritor paranaense, ainda muito rarefe ita, analisar os procedimentos utilizados por ele para configurar o car芍ter est谷tico singular e universal presente em seus textos. This article presents a study on the contemporary writer Val那ncio Xavier. The focus is on the aesthetic analysis of O mez da grippe e outros livros (1998). The aim is to contribute with the literarycriticism about the author, which is st ill slightly known, and also to present the procedure used by the author to characterize the singular and the universal in his texts.
