%X Este trabalho tem como objetivo tra ar um panorama de a  es na ¨ĸrea de pol¨Ēticas lingu¨Ēsticas relacionadas ¨¤ promo  o e ao ensino do portugu¨ēs como l¨Ēngua adicional no Brasil e fora do pa¨Ēs, bem como refletir sobre alguns de seus impactos. Primeiramente, s o apresentados o conceito de pol¨Ētica lingu¨Ēstica (COOPER, 1989) e as no  es de valor e de mercado lingu¨Ēstico a partir da Nova Economia (OLIVEIRA, 2010). A seguir, apresenta-se um panorama de a  es pol¨Ēticas de promo  o internacional da l¨Ēngua portuguesa, focalizando naquelas desenvolvidas nos ambitos do Mercosul e da Am¨Ļrica Latina. Conclui-se fazendo uma reflex o sobre poss¨Ēveis implica  es dessas a  es no ensino e aprendizagem de portugu¨ēs como l¨Ēngua adicional, bem como na difus o internacional da l¨Ēngua portuguesa. This paper aims at drawing an overview of actions in the field of language policies related to Portuguese promotion and teaching, as an additional language, in Brazil and abroad, as well as reflecting about some of the impacts of that. First of all, the concept of language planning (COOPER, 1989) will be presented, as well as the notion of value and linguistic market based on the New Economy (OLIVEIRA, 2010). Next, an overview of politic actions for promoting Portuguese Language internationally will be presented, specially the ones developed in Mercosul and Latin America contexts. In the end, possible implications of these actions for the teaching and learning and international promotion of Portuguese as an additional language are discussed.
