%X The question regarding the status of the written language is of fundamental relevance for writers of the so-called "eccentric spaces" divided between the heritage of the language of the colonizer and the diversity of multiple local languages. To write in this context is to enter into a direct confrontation with the language issue, which the writer establishes with the "literary language", which is not always their mother tongue or national language, and its complex relationships. In the specific case of Maghrebian writers presenting their work in French, we can say that their literary work is written as a kind of translation of the Arab cultures to Western languages as a written mise-en-scene that attempts to rescue the colonial past, the subjective lacerations and the ruptures of identities. Thus, through the analysis of the work La m¨¦moire tatou¨¦e: autobiographie d'un d¨¦colonis¨¦ (1971), by the Moroccan writer Abdelkebir Khatibi, we aim to illustrate how politics and identity are woven into the literary fabric in order to translate the Other to an extent that exceeds the effects of linguistic order so as to configure it as an act of translation between cultures, peoples, and, according to Khatibi, among spiritualities. A interroga  o sobre o estatuto da l¨ªngua na qual se escreve ¨¦ um imperativo para os escritores dos chamados ¡°espa os exc¨ºntricos¡± divididos entre a heran a da l¨ªngua do colonizador e a diversidade dos m¨²ltiplos idiomas locais. Escrever nesse contexto ¨¦ travar um enfrentamento direto com quest o da l¨ªngua, visto que o escritor estabelece com a ¡°l¨ªngua liter¨¢ria¡±, que nem sempre ¨¦ sua l¨ªngua materna nem sua l¨ªngua nacional, rela  es extremamente complexas. No caso espec¨ªfico dos escritores magrebinos de l¨ªngua francesa, podemos afirmar que suas escritas liter¨¢rias funcionam como uma esp¨¦cie de tradu  o do mundo ¨¢rabe no Ocidente, como uma mise-en-sc¨¨ne escritural na tentativa de resgatar o passado colonial, as dilacera  es subjetivas e as rupturas identit¨¢rias. Desta forma, a partir da an¨¢lise da obra La m¨¦moire tatou¨¦e: autobiographie d¡¯un d¨¦colonis¨¦ (1971), do escritor marroquino AbdelKebir Khatibi, procuraremos mostrar como as quest es pol¨ªticas e identit¨¢rias inscrevem-se na tessitura do liter¨¢rio com o intuito de traduzir o outro numa dimens o que ultrapassa os efeitos de ordem lingu¨ªstica para se configurarem como um ato de tradu  o entre as culturas, os povos e, como diria Khatibi, entre as espiritualidades.
