En el 12,9 % de los pacientes se detect車 la atelectasia como complicaci車n, las manifestaciones cl赤nicas de 谷sta quedaron enmascaradas por las de la crisis de asma bronquial. El pulm車n derecho result車 ser el m芍s afectado y la forma lobulillar fue la variedad que predomin車. Se identific車 un sobre diagn車stico de neumopat赤as inflamatorias, que se confundi車 con la atelectasia, lo cual trajo como resultado el uso indiscriminado de agentes antimicrobianos. It is conducted a study of 155 children from the Emergency Room of the "Jos谷 Ram車n Mart赤nez" Teaching Hospital in Guanajay. These patients had a diagnosis of bronchial asthma and were admitted in the Respiratory Service to identify possible complications according to the clinical judgement of the physician. Atelectasis was detected as a complication in 12.9 % of the patients, and its clinical manifestations were masked by those of the bronchial asthma crisis. The right lung was the most affected and the lobular form was the predominant variety.
