%X RESUMEN El prop車sito del presente trabajo es reconocer al alcoholismo como una enfermedad, una adicci車n, que tiene repercusi車n a nivel individual y social. Intentando, espec赤ficamente hacer hincapi谷 en la integraci車n de la familia en el tratamiento del paciente con dependencia al alcohol.La metodolog赤a utilizada es la consideraci車n de un caso cl赤nico concreto, un paciente alcoh車lico asistido bajo abordaje individual por Terapia Ocupacional, durante tres meses en una instituci車n de salud mental en condici車n de internado, estableciendo los puntos en com迆n con la bibliograf赤a existente. Se trata de articular la teor赤a con la pr芍ctica.Como consecuencia de lo investigado y vivenciado, como practicante de Terapia Ocupacional, se concluye que la familia es un elemento importante a la hora de lograr la predisposici車n del paciente alcoh車lico en proceso de rehabilitaci車n al tratamiento. Donde Terapia Ocupacional es una disciplina que cumple un rol privilegiado dentro de dicho proceso, como facilitadora de las herramientas pr芍cticas concretas, a nivel individual y familiar.As赤 la familia, sistema de transmisi車n de cultura y sost谷n de sus miembros, se convierte en un recurso indispensable en la recuperaci車n del alcoholismo, si es considerada oportunamente.ABSTRACT This work aims to recognize alcoholism as an illness and an addiction having repercussions on individual and social aspects, and to try to make a special point of the family integration in the treatment of the alcoholic patient.So that, the family is viewed as an element for the support of its members and a way of transmitting culture which can be an essential resource for the recovery of alcoholic patients.The method consists of considering an specific clinical case, an alcoholic patientindividually treated with Occupational Therapy during 3 months as an internee in a Mental Health Institution, and finding at the same time common points with the existing bibliography and thus articulating theory and practise.As a result of what has been investigated and lived as Occupational Therapist, it is concluded that family is an important element to manage the predisposition of the alcoholic patient to treatment after the rehabilitation process. The occupational Therapy is here a discipline with a privileged role in the aforesaid process as a supplier ofconcrete practical tools, regarding the individual and his/her family.
