%X Se estudia un paciente seropositivo al VIH con s赤ndrome diarreico cr車nico, en el que fueron detectados ooquistes de Isospora belli en las heces, por la t谷cnica de Ziehl-Neelsen modificada. Se realizaron otras t谷cnicas coproparasitol車gicas y cultivos que resultaron negativos, se descart車 alg迆n otro origen infeccioso del cuadro. Recibi車 tratamiento con cotrimoxazol (trimetrop赤n 80 mg, sulfametoxazol 400 mg) a la dosis de 2 tabletas cada 6 h por 10 d, con remisi車n de los s赤ntomas. A HIV seropositive patient with chronic diarrheic syndrome, in which oocysts of Isospora belli were detected in feces by the modified technique of Ziehl-Neelsen was studied. Other coproparasitological techniques were applied and cultures were applied made with negative results. Any other infectious origin was excluded from the picture. The patient was treated with 2 tablets of Cotrimoxazole (trimethoprin 80 mg, sulphamethoxazole 400 mg) every 6 hours for ten days, with referral of the symptoms.
