%X Se report車 un caso de parasitaci車n del cabello por piojos en un joven de 24 a os, la identificaci車n entomol車gica de los adultos y estadios inmaduros del vector, confirmaron la presencia de Phthirus pubis Linnaeus, 1758, como 迆nico par芍sito existente. Este insecto hemat車fago usualmente infesta la regi車n del pubis, axilas, pesta as y otras partes del cuerpo, pero no es habitual encontrarlo en la cabeza. A case of lice infestation of the hair in a 24 years-old man was reported. After the entomological identification of adults and immature stages of the vector; it was confirmed that the only existing parasite was Phtihirus pubis Linnaeus 1758, a hematophagous insect that usually infests pubis, armpit, eyelids, and other parts of the body but is rarely found in the head.
