Smoking is also an important cause of acceleration of processes that accompany physiological aging. Both elements are directly responsible for the so-called unsuccessful aging. Although smoking cessation, even at an advanced age, has beneficial effects, smoking cessation counseling of elderly may be a real challenge for doctors.
