%X Se realiz¨® una revisi¨®n actualizada acerca de la enfermedad de von Recklinghausen. Se exponen las posibles teor¨ªas del desarrollo de los tumores de las va¨ªnas nerviosas, caracter¨ªsticas de la enfermedad. Tambi¨¦n se dan a conocer las diversas formas gen¨¦ticas de la neurofibromatosis tipo I y su relaci¨®n con la variante de neurofibromatosis espinal familiar. La funci¨®n de la imagenolog¨ªa, fundamentalmente la resonancia magn¨¦tica nuclear, en el diagn¨®stico temprano de los neurofibromas espinales y las caracter¨ªsticas de ellos bien identificadas. An updated review on von Recklinghausen's disease was made. The possible theories of the development of tumors of the nervous sheats, which are characteristic of the disease, were exposed. The diverse genetical forms of neurofibromatosis type 1 and its relation to the variant of familial spinal neurofibromatosis were made known. The imaging function, mainly magnetic resonance imaging, in the early diagnosis of the spinal neurofibromas and their characteristics were well identified.
