%X Se realiz車 un estudio retrospectivo (1996 a 1999) del costo-beneficio de las pruebas inmunol車gicas realizadas en el Instituto Superior de Medicina Militar ※Dr. Luis D赤az Soto§. Se crearon bases de datos con todas las pruebas realizadas en el Laboratorio de Inmunolog赤a de dicho instituto y se trabaj車 con los totales y variaci車n de porcentajes de pruebas alteradas. El estudio demostr車 que antes de la intervenci車n de los especialistas en el diagn車stico inmunol車gico se indicaban demasiadas pruebas por diversas causas. Se proponen estrategias educativas al personal m谷dico y param谷dico para disminuir el gasto de materiales y reactivos, y con ello aumentar la calidad del trabajo. A retrospective study of the cost-benefit of immunological tests performed at ※Dr Luis D赤az Soto§ Higher Institute of Military Medicine was carried out, which covered the period 1996 to 1999. Databases were created using all the tests that were made at the Immunology Laboratory of the institution and total numbers and variation of percentages of altered tests were used. The study showed that too many tests used to be indicated for several reasons prior to the intervention of immune diagnosis experts. Some educational strategies aimed at medical and paramedical staff were suggested to reduce the consumption of materials and reagents and to increase the quality of work
