%X El conocimiento de la homeopat¨ªa en nuestro pa¨ªs es exiguo, a pesar del reconocido desarrollo de la medicina cubana en todos sus ¨®rdenes y de la existencia de esta modalidad terap¨¦utica en gran cantidad de pa¨ªses incluso en los m¨¢s industrializados del mundo. No es hasta 1992 que el Ministerio de Salud P¨²blica decidi¨® incorporar la homeopat¨ªa a las llamadas "terap¨¦uticas alternativas". A partir de entonces ha existido un desarrollo acelerado de esta entidad que es desconocido por la casi totalidad de nuestros profesionales de la salud. The knowledge of homeopathy in our country is exiguous, in spite of the recognized development of Cuban medicine in all its spheres and of the existance of this therapeutic modality in a lot of countries, even in the most industrialized. It is not until 1992 that the Ministry of Public Health decided to incorporate homeopathy to the socalled "alternative therapeutics". Since then, there has been an accelerated development of this entity that is unknown by most of our health professionals. It is made a synthesis on the present status of homeopathy in Cuba starting from the arduous work carried out by the "Dr. Juan Antiga" Cuban Group of Homeopathy as a leading group of this discipline, taking into account its history, composition, structure, functioning, and its results in the assistance, scientific and teaching activities.
