%X Se realiz¨® un estudio descriptivo que incluy¨® caracter¨ªsticas cl¨ªnicas y variables epidemiol¨®gicas de todos los pacientes con diagn¨®stico de s¨ªfilis reciente en el Policl¨ªnico Comunitario Docente "H¨¦roes del Moncada", en el quinquenio de 1990 a 1994. La forma cl¨ªnica de presentaci¨®n m¨¢s frecuente fue la de s¨ªfilis reciente adquirida sintom¨¢tica (58,93 %). Se encontr¨® significaci¨®n estad¨ªstica entre el hecho de padecer s¨ªfilis reciente adquirida sintom¨¢tica y el grupo de edad comprendido entre 20 y 24 a os. Los ¨ªndices de productividad de la entrevista epidemiol¨®gica se comportaron de forma satisfactoria. A descriptive study including clinical characteristics and epidemiological variables of all patients with recent diagnosis of syphilis at the "Heroes del Moncada" Community Teaching Polyclinic between 1990 and 1994 was conducted. The most frequent clinical form of presentation was that of recently acquired symptomatic syphilis.(58.93%). A statistical signification was found between the fact of suffering from recently acquired symptomatic syphilis and the age group from 20 to 24 years. The productivity indexes of the epidemiological interview were satisfactory.
