%X Se realiz車 un estudio descriptivo y retrospectivo en el municipio 10 de Octubre, con la finalidad de conocer el comportamiento de las afecciones cardiovasculares en ni os y adolescentes, as赤 como su repercusi車n en la salud reproductiva en la adolescencia. Se encontr車 que la cardiopat赤a cong谷nita m芍s frecuente fue la comunicaci車n interventricular, seguida de la comunicaci車n interauricular y de la persistencia del conducto arterioso. El mayor porcentaje de ni os cardi車patas no est芍 operado y se ubicaron en los grupos de edades de 1 a 4 a os y de 5 a 19. Hubo un 17,5 % de cardiopat赤as cong谷nitas graves. Existi車 un pobre registro de las restantes afecciones cardiovasculares. No se present車 embarazo en las adolescentes portadoras de estas entidades. Las cardiopat赤as fueron la principal causa de mortalidad dentro del total de las anomal赤as cong谷nitas y la mortalidad fue de un 20 %. A descriptive and retrospective study was conducted in ※10 de Octubre§ municipality to know the behavior of cardiovascular affections in children and adolescents, as well as their repercussion on the reproductive health in adolescence. It was found that interventricular communication was the most common congenital heart disease, followed by interauricular communication and the persistence of the arterious duct. The highest percentage of children suffering from this disease are not operated on and they are in the age groups 1-4 and 5-19. 17.5 % of them had severe congenital heart diseases. There was a poor register of the other cardiovascular affections. None of the female adolescents carriers of these entities was pregnant. Heart diseases were the main cause of mortality among the congenital abnormalities, and there was a mortality of 20 %.
