%X Partiendo de la conjetura del adolescente que habitualmente piensa que el uso de las drogas constituye una estimulaci車n para la sexualidad, cuando en realidad ocurre lo contrario, se decidi車 hacer una revisi車n bibliogr芍fica con el objetivo de describir los efectos de las drogas en la sexualidad, ampliando el conocimiento sobre este tema. Se encontr車 que los principales efectos de las drogas en la sexualidad femenina constituyen la alteraci車n del ciclo menstrual, y por tanto, trastornos en la ovulaci車n, la disminuci車n del deseo sexual, la anorgasmia, la disminuci車n de la lubricaci車n vaginal, el bloqueo de la respuesta sexual, la disfunci車n sexual y la infertilidad. En el caso del sexo masculino se identific車 como principales efectos de las drogas: la disminuci車n de las hormonas masculinas (testosterona), la disminuci車n en la producci車n de espermatozoides, la disfunci車n er谷ctil, la disminuci車n del deseo sexual, la impotencia, la infertilidad, el aumento del tama o de la pr車stata (en el caso del uso de esteroides), el retraso en la eyaculaci車n y la disfunci車n sexual. Based on the supposition that the adolescent usually thinks that the use of drugs estimulates sexuality, when it is all the contrary, it was decided to make a bibliographic review aimed at describing the effect of drugs on sexuality, and at widening the knowledge on this topic. It was found that the main effects of drugs on female sexuality are the alteration of the menstrual cycle and, therefore, ovulation disorders, decline of the libido, anorgasmy, reduction of vaginal lubrication, blocking of the sexual response, sexual disfunction and infertility. In the case of males, the chief effects of drugs are the reduction of male hormones (testosterone), the decrease of spermatozoon production, erectile disfunction, decline of the libido, impotence, infertility, enlargement of the prostate (when steroids are used), retarded ejaculation, and sexual disfunction.
