%X O conflito de convic  es traz consigo frequentes interroga  es ¨¦ticas em diferentes esferas das rela  es sociais. As convic  es religiosas n o s o as ¨²nicas nesse sentido. Este ensaio usa um m¨¦todo interdisciplinar em vista de esclarecer alguns conceitos e crit¨¦rios subjacentes ao tema, que podem ajudar no discernimento ¨¦tico de tais conflitos. A Bio¨¦tica Cl¨ªnica ¨¦ aqui uma particulariza  o tem¨¢tica que ajuda uma concentra  o do discurso, ao mesmo tempo em que permite o aproveitamento desta reflex o para outras esferas. Ajuda tamb¨¦m a perceber a estreita rela  o das convic  es pessoais com a esfera p¨²blica em torno de quest es vitais. Entre seus resultados, este ensaio ressalta que os conflitos de convic  es podem ser fonte de benef¨ªcios para a conviv¨ºncia na sociedade plural. Seus desafios ¨¦ticos se concentram na necess¨¢ria abertura das convic  es ao di¨¢logo com os diferentes. No exerc¨ªcio do di¨¢logo, a reflex o da Bio¨¦tica se distingue da Biopol¨ªtica e sugere que as convic  es subjetivas por vezes se vejam contraditadas por ordenamentos jur¨ªdicos, antes que se amadure am consensos sobre crit¨¦rios ¨¦ticos. Palavras-chave: Convic  es ¨C Bio¨¦tica Cl¨ªnica ¨C Conflitos ¨¦ticos   Abstract the conflict of convictions brings frequent ethical questions in different spheres of social relations. Religious convictions are not the only in this sense. This essay uses an interdisciplinary method in order to clarify some concepts and criteria underlying this issue, which can help in ethical discernment of such conflicts. Clinical Bioethics is a particularization theme here that helps a concentration of discourse, while allowing the use of this reflection to other spheres. It also helps to understand the close relationship of personal convictions with the public sphere around vital issues. Among their results, this paper points out that conflicts of convictions can be a source of benefits to living in a plural society. His ethical challenges are mainly pointed to a necessary openness to dialogue with the different. In exercising this dialogue, reflection of Bioethics is distinguished from Biopolitics and suggests that the subjective convictions sometimes find themselves contradicted by legal before they ripen consensus on ethical criteria.
