This article examines the history of Ayazma and argues that the religious and political significance of Ayazma was carried to the Ottoman period. The district of Ayazma in ¨¹sk¨¹dar is located between emsi Pa a and hsaniye districts and it overlooks the Bosphorous and the Marmara Sea.
