%X New outlook on the history of war is closely connected with the return of ¡°the human perspective¡± to it, consequently with the study of private culture, everyday life of a Soviet man in wartime. Solving of such problems chiefly depends on the involvement and analysis of epistolary sources. The article studies the character and content of frontline soldiers¡¯ correspondence with wives, draws a conclusion, concerning major problems of their relations in wartime.
