%X Se sabe que el s赤ndrome hepatopulmonar (SHP) ocurre cuando se produce hipoxemia secundaria a vasodilataci車n microvascular pulmonar en pacientes con enfermedades hep芍ticas o hipertensi車n portal. Se debe considerar en el diagn車stico diferencial de la disnea y la hipoxemia. Se hizo una revisi車n de la entidad despu谷s de presentar a una paciente de 10 a os de edad, atendida por padecer una cirrosis criptogen谷tica y una hipoxemia severa. Se estableci車 el diagn車stico despu谷s de realizar ecograf赤a transtor芍xica contrastada. It is known that the hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS) occurs when hypoxemia is secondary to pulmonary microvascular vasodilation in patients with hepatic diseases or with portal hypertension. It should be considered in the differential diagnosis of dyspnea and hypoxemia. A review of the entity was made after presenting a 10-year-old patient that received medical attention for suffering from cryptogenetic cirrhosis and severe hypoxemia. The diagnosis was attained after performing constrast transthoraxic echography.
