%X Se realiz車 un estudio observacional, descriptivo, prospectivo con todos los pacientes que hab赤an recibido un trasplante renal en el Instituto de Nefrolog赤a desde el 2002 hasta el 2004. Se les realiz車 gastroduodenoscopia con prueba de ureasa para diagn車stico de Helicobacter pylori y alteraciones asociadas en el primer mes del trasplante y se repiti車 el estudio a los 6 meses y al a o. Se encontr車 una prevalencia de la infecci車n de 34,1 por cada 100 pacientes. Se hall車 con mayor frecuencia entre los 40 y 49 a os de edad. Se encontraron como alteraciones digestivas asociadas a la infecci車n de forma significativa: la gastritis eritematosa y la 迆lcera duodenal. Se comprob車 que todos los pacientes tratados lograron curar la infecci車n y solo uno con alteraci車n digestiva asociada no resolvi車 con el tratamiento. A prospective, descriptive and observational study was conducted on all the renal transplant recipients at the Institute of Nephrology from 2002 to 2004. Gastroduodenoscopy in addition to an urease test were performed to diagnose Helicobacter pylori and associated alterations in the first month of transplantation, and then they were repeated six and 12 months afterwards. The infection prevalence rate was 34,1 per 100 patients. It was more frequent in the 40-49 years age group. The most significant infection-associated digestive disorders were erythematous gastritis and duodenal ulcer. It was demonstrated that all the treated patients managed to get over the infection and only one patient with associated digestive alteration did not suceed.
