%X Se present¨® el caso de una mujer de 61 a os con molestias abdominales, anemia ferrop¨¦nica recientemente tratada, h¨ªgado metast¨¢sico e im¨¢genes de tomograf¨ªa axial que evidencian la existencia de asa de aspecto tumoral en proyecci¨®n del duodeno con crecimiento extr¨ªnseco. La citolog¨ªa con aguja fina del h¨ªgado mostr¨® met¨¢stasis hep¨¢ticas de un sarcoma fusocelular del tipo tumor del estroma gastrointestinal (GIST). Inmunofenotipo: CD 117 positivo y CE 34 positivo en c¨¦lulas tumorales fusocelulares. Se concluy¨® como GIST de localizaci¨®n duodenal con met¨¢stasis hep¨¢ticas, y se impuso tratamiento con mesilato de imatinib. The case of a 61-year-old female with abdominal discomfort, recently treated iron-deficiency anaemia, metastatic liver and axial tomography images evidencing the existence of a tumor-like loop in duodenum projection with extrinsic growth, was presented. The fine needle liver cytology showed liver metastasis of a fusocellular sarcoma of the gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) type. Immunophenotype; positive CD 117 and positive CE 34 in fusocellular tumoral cells. It was concluded as a GIST of duodenal localization with liver metastasis. Treatment with imatinib mesilate was applied.
