%0 Journal Article %T Atenci¨®n de la ascitis y sus complicaciones en el paciente con cirrosis hep¨¢tica Ascites care and its complications in patient with hepatic cirrhosis %A Yadina Mart¨ªnez P¨¦rez %A Al¨ª Abdel Yasells %A Mar¨ªa del Rosario Abreu Gonz¨¢lez %J Revista Cubana de Medicina %D 2012 %I ECIMED %X En la historia natural de la cirrosis hep¨¢tica, aproximadamente 50 % de los pacientes presentan su primera descompensaci¨®n en forma de ascitis, esta a su vez, si no es tratada adecuadamente, puede originar complicaciones mucho m¨¢s severas como la peritonitis bacteriana espont¨¢nea y otras, quiz¨¢s irreversibles, como el s¨ªndrome hepatorrenal. Alrededor de 60 % de los pacientes con cirrosis compensada desarrollan ascitis en los primeros 10 a os despu¨¦s del diagn¨®stico. Se revis¨® este tema con el objetivo de disminuir el n¨²mero de complicaciones y fallecidos por esta causa. In the natural history of hepatic cirrhosis, approximately the 50 % of patients has its first decompensation as a ascites way, which at its turn, if it not appropriately treated may leads to other complications more severe such that spontaneous bacterial peritonitis and other, perhaps irreversible including the hepatorenal syndrome. About the 60 % of patients with compensated cirrhosis develops ascites during the first 10 years after diagnosis.
