%X Se realiz¨® un estudio de 126 pacientes con osteoartritis de la rodilla, diagnosticados en el Servicio de Ortopedia y Traumatolog¨ªa del Hospital General Docente "Comandante Pinares" de San Crist¨®bal, Pinar del R¨ªo, a los que se les realizaron infiltraciones intrarticulares con ozono una vez por semana como ¨²nico tratamiento. Entre los resultados obtenidos despu¨¦s de aplicar el patr¨®n evaluativo previamente dise ado, se encontr¨® que se obtuvo mejor¨ªa cl¨ªnica subjetiva en el 81,7 % de los casos, con un promedio de 4 infiltraciones, suficientes para resolver los problemas de la mayor¨ªa de los pacientes y con ausencia total de complicaciones, lo que lo hace un m¨¦todo valedero en la soluci¨®n de este problema de salud. Se destaca el ahorro sustancial de medicamentos deficitarios, que son sustituidos por el gas cuyo costo es ¨ªnfimo, as¨ª como la satisfaccci¨®n de la poblaci¨®n al ver aliviados sus s¨ªntomas mediante un proceder sencillo. It was conducted a study of 126 patients with knee osteoarthritis diagnosed at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Service of the "Comandante Pinares" General Teaching Hospital, and who underwent intrarticular ozone infiltrations once a week as a unique treatment. Among the results obtained after applying the previously designed evaluative pattern, it was found a subjective clinical improvement in 81,7 of the cases, with an average of 4 infiltrations that were enough to solve the problems of most of the patients, with no complications. This method is valid for the solution of this health problem. It is stressed the significant saving of scarse drugs, which are substituted by gas at a very low cost, as well as the satisfaction of the population with the relief of their symptoms by a single procedure.
