%X La defecograf赤a es una t谷cnica radiol車gica que se define como la expresi車n en im芍genes del acto de la defecaci車n. Mediante esta t谷cnica es posible determinar los cambios anat車micos y funcionales del recto y el ano y tambi谷n los movimientos del suelo p谷lvico, durante la defecaci車n. Los objetivos de este trabajo fueron: realizar una amplia revisi車n bibliogr芍fica sobre la t谷cnica de la defecograf赤a, describirla y mostrar los resultados preliminares en los primeros casos estudiados en el pa赤s. Se conform車 la muestra con 12 enfermos que acudieron a la consulta de proctolog赤a del Hospital ※Hermanos Ameijeiras§ en el per赤odo comprendido entre el 15 de enero y el 15 de julio del a o 2004, por trastornos de la defecaci車n. Se concluy車 que la defecograf赤a es un m谷todo eficaz en la detecci車n de numerosas alteraciones funcionales y morfol車gicas anorrectales y del suelo p谷lvico. Las afecciones m芍s frecuentemente detectadas fueron: el rectocele, la evacuaci車n incompleta del contenido de heces del recto y la incontinencia fecal. La t谷cnica para realizar la defecograf赤a, adaptada y aplicada para esta investigaci車n, result車 adecuada y aport車 datos requeridos para un diagn車stico correcto. The defecography is a radiological technique that is defined as the imaging expression of the defecation act. By this technique, it is possible to determine the anatomical and functional changes of the rectum and the anus, as well as the movements of the pelvic floor during defecation. The objectives of this paper were make a wide bibliographic review of the defecography technique, to describe it and to show the preliminary results in the first cases studied in the country. The first sample was composed of 12 patients that visited the proctology office of "Hermanos Ameijeiras" Hospital due to defecation disorders from January 15 to July 15, 2004. It was concluded that defecography is an efficient method for the detection of numerous anorectal and pelvic floor functional and morphological alterations. The most frequent affections were: rectocele, incomplete emptying of the feces content of the rectum and fecal incontinence. The technique to perform defecography, adapted and applied to this investigation, proved to be adequate and provided the data required for an accurate diagnosis.
