%X Se hizo una revisi車n sobre el alcoholismo, con el objetivo de promover mayor conocimiento de los aspectos negativos de esta enfermedad en el individuo, en la sociedad, en los m谷dicos y sobre todo en los de Medicina General Integral por su importancia en la atenci車n directa a la comunidad. Se plantearon la clasificaci車n, las manifestaciones secundarias y sus consecuencias sobre la salud con producci車n de diferentes enfermedades, como el c芍ncer, la gastritis, la cirrosis hep芍tica, las deficiencias nutricionales que llevan a la desnutrici車n energ谷tico proteica, la arteriosclerosis, entre otras, y finalmente la conducta a seguir y la prevenci車n del alcoholismo. Se logra una adecuada relaci車n con la poblaci車n haciendo 谷nfasis en la alimentaci車n y nutrici車n correcta para mantener un estado nutricional normal A review on alcoholism was made in order to promote a higher knowledge of the negative aspects of this disease in the individual, in society, in physicians, and above all in General Comprehensive Medicine specialists due to their importance in the direct community care. The classification, secondary manifestations and its consequences for health with production of different diseases, such as cancer, gastritis, liver cirrhosis, and nutritional deficiencies leading to energy-protein malnutrition and atherosclerosis, among others, and finally the behavior to be followed and the prevention of alcoholism are dealt with. An adequate relation with the population is attained, making emphasis on the correct feeding and nutrition necessary to maintain a normal nutritional status.
