A population of the endemic Vestia ranojevici moravica was found in this locality in 1968, cca 70 km far from its known distribution range in the N Moravia. During the recent inventory of this site 48 mollusc species were found including four rare dendrophilous clausilids: Bulgarica cana, Vestia ranojevici moravica, Cochlodina orthostoma and Clausilia cruciata. The beech and scree forests of this locality represent the most preserved malacological site in the Hruby Jesen¨ªk Mts which should be strongly protected. %K Javorn¨¢ River %K scree forests %K old beech forests %K dead wood %K Bulgarica cana %K Vestia ranojevici moravica %K preserve snail faunas %U http://mollusca.sav.sk/pdf/9/9.Lacina.pdf
