%X Ocimum basilicum L. (albahaca blanca) es una de las plantas arom芍ticas que se clasifican por la composici車n qu赤mica de su aceite. Se investig車 la variedad lactucaefolium que posee propiedades antis谷pticas, antiinflamatorias y antiespasm車dicas. Se determinaron los 赤ndices num谷ricos en esta especie y se estandariz車 el perfil cromatogr芍fico a partir de su aceite esencial. El estudio de conservaci車n muestra que el tiempo 車ptimo de almacenamiento en frasco de vidrio y sobres de polietileno es de 10 meses. Ocimum basilicum L. (white sweet basil) is one of the aromatic plants that is classified according to the chemical composition of its oil. The lactucaefolium variety that has antiseptic, antiinflammatory and antispasmodic properties was investigated. The numerical indexes were determined in this species and the chromatographic profile was standardized starting from its essential oil. The conservation study shows that the optimum time of storage in glass flasks and polyethylene bags is of l0 months.
