%X Se desarroll¨® un m¨¦todo por espectrofotometr¨ªa UV, que incluy¨® la extracci¨®n previa del producto de degradaci¨®n de la benzoca¨ªna presente en un nuevo ung¨¹ento rectal, destinado al tratamiento del brote hemorroidal agudo. El m¨¦todo anal¨ªtico se valid¨® para el estudio de estabilidad qu¨ªmica de este principio activo. Seg¨²n los criterios estad¨ªsticos vigentes, el m¨¦todo result¨® lineal, exacto, preciso, sensible y espec¨ªfico para el objetivo con el cual fue dise ado. A method including the previous extraction of the degradation product of benzocaine pesent in a new rectal ointment to treat acute haemorrhoid was developed by ultraviolet spectrophotometry. The analytical method was validated for the study of the chemical stability of this active principle. According to the standing statistical criteria, the method proved to be lineal, exact, accurate, sensitive and specific for the objective it was designed.
