%X Resumen La reflexi車n te車rica m芍s reciente se ha interesado por la relaci車n entre las transformaciones urbanas asociadas a los movimientos sociales, los procesos de formaci車n identitaria y las pol赤ticas urbanas. En esta investigaci車n se realiza un breve repaso por aportes te車ricos relevantes desde un plano general 每la importancia del v赤nculo del planeamiento con los procesos de diferenciaci車n social每 a otro particular 每el desarrollo de una espacialidad LGBT (Lesbiana, Gay, Bisexual y Transexual) en sectores concretos de la ciudad . A continuaci車n, el art赤culo expone como caso de estudio, el proceso de transformaci車n que ha llevado el barrio de Justicia/Chueca, hoy reconocido barrio gay de Madrid, en las dos 迆ltimas d谷cadas. Los resultados obtenidos, al confrontar la teor赤a con el caso del barrio madrile o, permitieron valorar la importancia de la identidad del colectivo LGBT y los vecinos del barrio en el proceso de cambio urbano de Justicia. Abstract Most recent theoretic thought has gained an interest on the relation between urban transformation as linked to social movement, identity processes and urban politics. This investigation briefly summarizes relevant theoretical support from general aspects such as the importance of linking planning with processes of social differentiation. It also summarizes the mentioned support to a particular aspect, which is the development of a LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual) spatiality in specific areas of the city. Further, the article refers as case study to the transformation process that the Justicia/Chueca neighborhood, today known as the gay neighborhood of Madrid, has undergone in the last two decades. The results obtained by counter posing theory with Madrid＊s neighborhood has allowed placement of value to the importance of the identity of the LGBT community and its neighbors in the process of urban change in Justicia.
