Se observ車 una variaci車n significativa (p=0,001) en el promedio de la capacidad individual de remineralizaci車n (CIR) a las 96 y 120 horas en relaci車n con las 72 horas, equivalente a la elevaci車n de la CIR, y un incremento significativo (X2=p<0,001) en el porcentaje de ni os con buena CIR al transcurrir el tiempo. A las 120 horas, en la gran mayor赤a de los ni os ( 93,4 %) se observ車 buena CIR, por lo que este ser赤a el tiempo id車neo para medirla, pues tal vez los que presenten deficiencias en la CIR poseen mayor susceptibilidad a caries. A technique to measure the individual capacity of remineralization in the course of time of an enamel area which had been artificially demineralized before and also to measure enamel's resistance in 65 children aged 8 to 11 years was evaluated in this paper. This technique was developed by the Provincial Research Group of Materials , Methods and Drugs for Preventive Dentistry (GRIMEP in Spanish). A significant variation was observed (p=0.001) in the average individual capacity of remineralization (ICR) at 96h and 120h as compared to that recorded at 72 h, which meant a rise in ICR and a significant increase (X2=p< 0,001) in the percentage of children showing good ICR as time went by.
