%X Joaqu¨ªn M. Albarr¨¢n, fue un m¨¦dico y cirujano reconocido en el ¨¢mbito mundial en el desarrollo de la Urolog¨ªa moderna. Cubano por nacimiento, e hijo de la Francia ilustrada, pa¨ªs donde hizo su segunda graduaci¨®n como m¨¦dico, donde realiz¨® el desarrollo de su intelecto cient¨ªfico y cultural, realiz¨® aportes al conocimiento m¨¦dico en la Histolog¨ªa, la Anatom¨ªa, la Bacteriolog¨ªa, a la Cl¨ªnica y Cirug¨ªa Urol¨®gica. Son poco conocidos sus aportes al conocimiento morfol¨®gico del desarrollo de los dientes y sus estructuras de soportes y a las tumoraciones desarrolladas a partir de los restos paradentarios. En este trabajo se realiza una informaci¨®n sint¨¦tica de los trabajos presentados y publicados por este eminente m¨¦dico. Joaqu¨ªn M. Albarr¨¢n was a well-known physician and surgeon worldwide in the development of the modern Urology. Cuban by birth and son of the educated France where he graduated as a physician for the second time and developed his scientific and cultural intellect, Albarr¨¢n made contributions to the medical learning in Histology, Anatomy, Bacteriology and Urological Clinics and Surgery. His contributions to the morphological knowledge on the development of teeth and their supporting structures and on the tumors from the paradental remains are barely known. This paper presents and abridged information on the papers which were submitted and published by this remarkable physician.
