%X La oclusi車n dentaria siempre ha sido un tema de atenci車n por parte de todas las ramas de la Estomatolog赤a. Es necesario, al rehabilitar a un paciente, conocer su funci車n masticatoria y tratar de reproducir los contactos dentarios una vez instalada la aparatolog赤a prot谷sica. Se realiz車 un estudio sobre oclusi車n, que relacionara este aspecto con la rehabilitaci車n por prot谷sis parcial fija utilizando puentes fijos r赤gidos de ceramometal. Se seleccion車 un grupo de 20 pacientes a los cuales se les realiz車 un estudio oclusal previo. Mediante registros intraorales fueron montados los modelos en el articulador semiajustable con el empleo de las t谷cnicas cl赤nicas de transporte por medio del arco facial. Se enceraron los modelos por la t谷cnica de goteo codificada, se verificaron los contactos en la prueba de la subestructura met芍lica y posteriormente en la prueba de la cer芍mica y en la instalaci車n. En el 80 % de los casos se obtuvieron los mismos puntos de contacto existentes en un inicio y al otro 20 % se les realizaron ajustes oclusales someros, debido a factores propios de este trabajo rehabilitador. Se comprobaron los beneficios del articulador semiajustable y el traslado por el arco facial en el montaje de los modelos, para poder lograr un correcto reestablecimiento de la morfolog赤a oclusal, de forma tal que se mantuviera la pauta masticatoria del paciente o se acercara lo m芍s posible a su patr車n oclusal. Dental occlusion has always been the focus of attention for all branches of Stomatology. On rehabilitating a patient, it is necessary to know his masticatory function and to try to reproduce the dental contacts once the prosthetic appliances have been installed. A study on occlusion was conducted that relates this aspect to the rehabilitation by fixed partial denture using fixed rigid bridges of ceramic and metal. A group of 20 patients was selected to undergo a previous occlusal study. The models were mounted in the semiadjustable articulator by intraoral registries, using the clinical techniques of transportation by means of the facial arch. The models were waxed by the codified dripping technique, the contacts were verified in the metallic substrcuture test and later in the ceramic test and during the installation. In 80 % of the cases the same points of contact existing at the beginning were obtained. Mild occlusal adjustments were made in the other 20 %, due to characteristic factors of this rehabilitating work.
