%X The article elaborates esthetics and poetics of K. Leontyev, in particular the ways the priority of esthetics, new for the literature of 1860 70s, being implemented in his fiction. Leontyev¡¯s attitude is considered within the context of religious philosophy, according to F. Dostoevsky and P. Florensky¡¯s conception of the beauty. ¡°Esthetic formalism¡± of Leontyev is interpreted with his providential world outlook taken into account.
