%X This article deals with the vicissitudes that three writers from Toledo who created in different matters, should overcome when printing their works. Juan of Mariana, Alonso of Villegas and Francisco from Pisa acted in a very different way when publishing their works. They opted to publish them directly or to encharge that work to another person who established an agreement with the printer on the conditions in wich the work would be printed. The author obtained in enchange a number of copies that either he gave to his friendships or he sold a merchant of books. Este art¨ªculo trata de las vicisitudes que debieron superar tres escritores toledanos, que creaban en diferentes materias, a la hora de dar a la estampa sus obras. Juan de Mariana, Alonso de Villegas y Francisco de Pisa actuaron de forma muy distinta a la hora de publicar sus obras. Optaban por editar ellos directamente o por encargar ese trabajo a otra persona, que establec¨ªa un acuerdo con el impresor sobre las condiciones en que ser¨ªa impresa la obra. El autor obten¨ªa a cambio un n¨²mero de ejemplares que bien regalaba a sus amistades o vend¨ªan a un mercader de libros.
