%X The subject about the religious orders and the crisis of the Philippines between 1896 and 1898 has been studied from several points of view, but they are generally unilateral. We present here an article with a global perspective about the actions of the regular clergy in the years of the tagalog crisis. At the same time, we provide, by a detailed and sometimes unpublished study, new data about the procurators in Madrid, the movement of the religious in front of the government, the pressure of the superiors, and the real background of the religious proposals in the last moments of the Spanish regime in the Pacific Ocean. La tem芍tica relativa a las 車rdenes religiosas y la crisis de Filipinas en los a os 1896 a 1898 se ha estudiado desde las 車pticas m芍s diversas, generalmente de un modo unilateral. Presentamos aqu赤 un trabajo sobre la acci車n del clero regular en los a os de la crisis tagala desde una perspectiva de conjunto. Al mismo tiempo, por medio de un an芍lisis detallado y hasta cierto punto in谷dito de las fuentes primarias, proporcionamos nuevos datos sobre la acci車n de los procuradores en Madrid, el movimiento de los religiosos de cara al gobierno, la presi車n de los superiores, y el calado real de las propuestas de la comunidad religiosa en los 迆ltimos momentos de la presencia hisp芍nica en el Pac赤fico.
