%X The diseases and the death have large importance in order to the invention of images and stereotypes. The Castilian king Enrique III el doliente (1390-1406) stablishes a veritable paradigm. His delicate health ¡ªsubject of various speculations¡ª, his early and exemplary death and the good memory transmited to the posterity (rightful ruler, fervent Christian, austere administrator) have founded about the king a historical and literary myth. Las enfermedades y la muerte tienen una gran importancia para la invenci¨®n de im¨¢genes y estereotipos. El rey de Castilla Enrique III el doliente (1390- 1406) fija todo un paradigma. Su delicada salud ¡ªobjeto de distintas especulaciones¡ª, su temprana y ejemplar muerte y la buena memoria transmitida a la posteridad (gobernante justo, fervoroso cristiano, austero administrador) han creado en tomo al monarca todo un mito hist¨®rico y literario.
