%X La recepci車n del decadentismo en Venezuela produjo algunas discusiones entre cr赤ticos y escritores sobre el desarraigo y las poses afrancesadas que supuestamente produc赤an los libros. Mi trabajo busca examinar estas discusiones con el fin de comprender el significado de la copia y de la imitaci車n en el ※fin de siglo§ venezolano. Parto de los planteamientos de Sylvia Molloy con relaci車n a la pose finisecular como un ※gesto decisivo en la pol赤tica cultural de la Hispanoam谷rica de fines del diecinueve§ (1994: 129), y mi intenci車n es comprender el contexto en el que la pose decadentista de Pedro-Emilio Coll parece pensada para desarticular y desestabilizar otras posiciones est谷ticas. Examinar谷 c車mo el desarraigo que supuestamente produc赤a la lectura permiti車 la creaci車n de un lugar de enunciaci車n (que es tambi谷n de recepci車n) marcado por la iron赤a y que apuesta por el fragmento, la glosa y la nota al margen. Estos rasgos servir芍n para la definici車n de una est谷tica que se propone tan americana como su opuesta, el criollismo. The reaction to the Decadence trend in Venezuela caused arguments between critics and writers on the subjects of uprooting and the Gallicized poses presumably caused by the books. My essay reviews these discussions so as to understand the meaning of copying and imitation in the Venezuelan fin de si豕cle, based on the considerations of Sylvia Molloy regarding the turn of the century pose as a ※decisive motion of the cultural policy of Hispanic America at the end of the Nineteenth Century ※. My intention is to understand the context in which the decadent pose of Pedro-Emilio Coll appears to be conceived to dislocate and destabilize other aesthetic positions. I will examine how the dislodgement purportedly produced by the reading allowed for the creation of an enunciation (which is also a place for receipt) characterized by irony, and based on the fragment, the glosa and footnotes. These traits will allow us to define an aesthetic which purports to be as Latin American as is opposite, criollismo.
