El objetivo de esta investigaci車n cuali-cuantitativa, fue observar la representaci車n social de los pacientes de la Facultad de Odontolog赤a de Ara atuba (FOA), UNESP, que se benefician de la interacci車n universidad p迆blica y hospitales generales. Por medio de entrevistas abiertas, grabadas y transcritas, a todos los pacientes (105) que frecuentaron las antesalas de la Cl赤nica Integrada, en el primer semestre de 2005, se les realiz車 la pregunta: c車mo supo de la atenci車n aqu赤 en la FOA? Se elabor車 el discurso del sujeto colectivo (DSC), la representaci車n de campo que permite valorar una colectividad como si fuera un solo individuo. Se remitieron 23 de los pacientes a la FOA, por UBS de Ara atuba a 7 y regi車n a 16, y 21 pacientes a hospitales. Se ha podido constatar que la interacci車n universidad p迆blica y hospitales generales es una realidad. Hospitals are very important for the health system. The objective of this quali-quantitative research was to visualize patients' social representation, which profited of the interaction between public universities and hospitals. 105 patients in the waiting rooms at the Integrated Clinic at FOA _ UNESP in the first semester 2005 answered to the question: "How did you know about the service at FOA? " - in opened interviews, recorded or written. A collective speech of the subject represented the field that allouds a society to speak as one. Twenty three of all patients have been sent to FOA by Health Assistance Centers in Ara atuba (7) and region (16) and twenty one patients assisted in Ara atuba by emergency.
